To commit to a positive and respectful team relationship with our families by providing healthy and positive daily experiences to children along Inclusion of children of varied abilities/cultures, and support encouragement of individual competencies.
Play ‘N’ Fun Program and After School Care follow the footprint of ‘Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Childcare Framework and it’s vision. Our vision is to offer a program which creates an environment to help the children establish a wholesome pattern of feelings and behaviours through:

Message from Sonia Khandelwal
My name is Sonia Khandelwal, and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. I graduated with a Postmaster certification in Counselling Psychology. In addition, I have completed my B.Ed, M.Ed, Master of Arts in Psychology, and English literature. My Ph.D. is in English literature. I live in Edmonton with my husband and 2 children. I have more than 15 years of experience as a Teacher, Principal, Counsellor, Lecturer, Psychologist and Child Development Supervisor.
I love doing yoga and meditation as part of daily routine. It reduces stress and helps me to stay balanced in my day-to-day activities. In my professional work, I deal with children, young adults, adults and families. At present, I am serving at two public schools in Alberta as a Mental Health Therapist. Being the owner and director of Play’N’Fun daycare I welcome the children who come to the daycare with lot of affection and love.

Life is beautiful when passion becomes your career. I started my career as a child educator in 2002, and I’m so glad to be able do what I love through Play N Fun Daycare. Through this daycare I can educate children and provide them with utmost love and care. It brings me immense joy to be amongst children with high energy level, and thriving personalities that are eager to learn every day. As a mother, I try my best to understand every parent’s needs, and more importantly the care that should be given to their child in their absence.
All children at this daycare are in gadget free environment, and in classrooms full of age-appropriate toys and resources. We believe that every child learns differently, and with a bit of encouragement and guidance they can all be successful. Therefore, our multiple intelligence curriculum helps us to the differentiate learning needs of children.
My Team at Play ‘N’ Fun Daycare is full of energy, and are motivated to build an environment that is warm and secure for your little one to learn and be happy.
